Evotec AG has appointed Werner Lanthaler, formerly chief financial officer of Intercell AG, to be its new chief executive officer. This follows the resignation in December 2008 of the previous CEO, Jörn Aldag.
Dr Lanthaler worked at Intercell for eight years where he was also responsible for business development and marketing and sales. Previous to that he was director of the Federation of Austrian Industry and a senior management consultant at McKinsey & Co. He holds a doctorate in economics from Vienna University and a masters degree in public administration from Harvard University.
