Walter Wenninger, a veteran pharmaceutical executive, is being nominated to the supervisory board of Evotec AG to replace John Walker, who is stepping down.
Dr Wenninger was a member of the Bayer AG management board from 1994 to 2000. Following his retirement from Bayer, he has been involved in the corporate development of a number of institutions and companies. He is currently a member of the executive committee of the German Cardiac Research Foundation and the executive committee of the Robert-Koch-Foundation. He is also on the boards of Noxxon Pharma AG, Paion AG, Recordati S.p.A. and Santaris Pharma A/S.
Based in Hamburg, Evotec is developing small molecule drugs to treat disorders of the central nervous system.
