ViroCell Biologics Ltd, a cell and gene therapy (CGT) contract development and manufacturing organisation, has appointed Meredith Brown as senior director, and Elaine Rihn as director of business development, to focus on growing ViroCell’s market share in the US.
Both executives join from Lonza Inc, a global CDMO, where they worked on generating and expanding commercial contracts with clients in CGT manufacturing. ViroCell focuses on the design, derisking and manufacture of viral vectors for clinical trials.
Ms Brown was founder and CEO of Gravitas Biomanufacturing, to provide specialised manufacturing to early-stage CGT companies requiring clinical grade products. Ms Rihn had previous executive roles at Gamida Cell Ltd and as senior programme manager and global lead in cell and gene therapy at Lonza Walkersville Inc.
ViroCell announced the appointments on 16 December 2024.
