Belgium-based Univac NV has appointed Stefano Malvolti, a former executive of the vaccine alliance, GAVI, as its chief executive officer. Founded in 2013, Univac is developing vaccines that activate natural killer (NK) cells. He was previously a global policy director at Novartis. Mr Malvolti obtained a master in public health degree from the Johns Hopkins University in the US and a master’s degree in business economics from Bocconi University in Italy.
Univac announced the appointment on 18 May 2016.
