Ulf Mark Schneider, formerly chief executive of the global healthcare group Fresenius SE & Co, took over the job of CEO of Nestlé SA on 1 January 2017. He will oversee a reorganisation at the Swiss company that will put a new strategic emphasis on products to improve human health and nutrition. Nestlé is currently the world’s large packaged food company. Mr Schneider holds both graduate and doctoral degrees from the University of St Gallen in Switzerland and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
The previous CEO, Paul Bulcke, is expected to become chairman of the board of directors following the company’s annual general meeting on 6 April.
