Veteran pharmaceutical executive and government advisor Trevor Jones has joined the board of directors of e-Therapeutics Plc as a non-executive director to advise on the commercialisation of the company’s assets including clinical-stage products for major depressive disorder and liver and pancreatic cancer.
Professor Jones was director of research and development at The Wellcome Foundation from 1987 to 1994 and subsequently led the UK pharmaceutical industry association and was a member of the UK government regulatory agency, the Medicines Commission. He is currently chairman of the contract research organisation Simbec-Orion Group Ltd and the Welsh investment company, Arthurian Life Science Ltd. He is also a visiting professor at King’s College, London and holds honorary degrees and gold medals from seven universities.
