UK-based TrakCel Ltd has expanded its management team in the US with the appointment of Maryellen Papelian as senior director for customer delivery. TrakCel provides software for organising IT and other services for the cell and gene therapy industry. Ms Papelian has experience overseeing the provision of legal, financial, quality, regulatory, and clinical supply services in multiple situations. She has held senior positions at Editas Medicine Inc, bluebird bio Inc and Synageva BioPharma Corp, now owned by Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in applied science from Babson College, US
