Action Pharma A/S of Denmark has appointed Torben Jung Laursen as executive vice president of business development. Mr Laursen was previously vice president of new products and technologies at Alpharma, Inc.
Action Pharma is a privately-owned biotech company which is developing drug candidates that target melanocortin receptors. It has two drug candidates in clinical development, one is for the protection of kidney injury associated with major cardiac surgery, and the other is to treat Type 2 diabetes.
