Thomas Lönngren joins advisory board of ReNeuron

Thomas Lönngren, former executive director of the European Medicines Agency, has joined the newly-established scientific advisory board of the UK stem cell therapy company ReNeuron Group Plc. Mr Lönngren currently directs an independent consultancy and serves in an advisory capacity for companies in the US, Europe and Australia. The chair of the new board is Mike Owen, former senior vice president for biopharmaceuticals research at GlaxoSmithKline Plc.

The other members are Colin Blakemore, former chief executive of the UK Medical Research Council; Marie Csete, chief scientist of the Huntington Medical Research Institutes; Trevor Jones, a visiting professor at King’s College, London and former director of the Wellcome Foundation; Chris Mason, professor of regenerative medicine bioprocessing at University College, London; Jack Price, professor of developmental neurobiology at King’s College, London; Mahendra Rao, consultant on regenerative medicine for the New York Stem Cell Foundation and Lee Rubin of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.

ReNeuron announced the appointments on 17 December 2015.
