Giles Platford has been promoted to head of commercial operations in emerging markets at Takeda Pharmaceuticals International GmbH where he previously was in charge of sales in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. In the new role he will be responsible for leading the expansion of Takeda’s commercial activities in Russia and countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Takeda announced the appointment on 18 March 2014.
