Steve Arkinstall becomes CSO at Kymab

Kymab Ltd, which has a transgenic mouse platform for discovering antibodies, has appointed Steve Arkinstall as its chief scientific officer. Mr Arkinstall replaces Allan Bradley, founder and previous CSO, who continues as a member of the executive leadership team of the company in the capacity of chief technology officer.

Mr Arkinstall joins Kymab from Merck Serono where he led the Serono Research Institute in Boston, Massachusetts as well as headed the unit on global technologies and external innovation. Prior to joining Serono he was a researcher at Glaxo Wellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline Plc).

Kymab has also appointed Nigel Clark as vice president and head of business development. Mr Clark was previously chief business officer at Syntaxin Ltd and before that, head of business development at Vernalis Plc.

Kymab announced the appointments on 3 June 2014.
