Stephen Ansell, a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in the US, is one of six members of a new scientific advisory board formed by Affimed NV to guide its oncology drug development activities. Dr Ansell’s clinical practice centers on lymphomas, which is also a focus of the Affimed portfolio.
The other board members are: Michael Caligiuri, director of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center; Andreas Engert, professor of internal medicine, haematology and oncology at the University Hospital of Cologne; Holbrook Kohrt, assistant professor of medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine; Owen O’Connor, professor of medicine and experimental therapeutics at the Columbia University Medical Center, and Max Topp, principal investigator at the University Hospital of Würzburg.
Affimed announced the appointments on 3 June 2015.
