Sequana Medical NV of Belgium has appointed Alexandra Clyde as an independent non-executive director as it prepares to expand sales of its medical device alfapump which has a CE mark for the management of refractory ascites due to liver disease and heart failure. The device is currently in clinical studies in the US. Ms Clyde is senior vice president of global health economics, policy and reimbursement at Medtronic Plc. She is also a member of several independent policy forums.
Ms Clyde received a BA in economics from Colgate University and an MS in health policy management from Harvard University, both in the US.
Sequana Medical announced the appointment on 25 August 2022.
