Rudi Pauwels, chairman and chief executive of Biocartis NV, has been elected as an independent director of MDxHealth SA, a molecular diagnostics company. Dr Pauwels is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded several European biotech companies and also pioneered the development of novel anti-HIV treatments and diagnostic tools that enable more personalised HIV therapy. Dr Pauwels started his career at the Rega Institute for Medical Research in Leuven, Belgium.
