Rolf Günther has been appointed chief executive officer of Bicycle Therapeutics Ltd, a venture-capital backed company that is investigating a new type of peptide-based therapeutics. Dr Günther was previously the chief executive and chief operating officer of Affimed Therapeutics AG in Heidelberg, Germany. He has also been vice president and general manager of the critical care business unit of Aventis Behring.
Bicycle Therapeutics is a spin-out of the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.
