Prosonix Ltd, a UK company operating in the field of respiratory medicines, has appointed Geoff Down to the newly created role of chief medical officer. Dr Down joins Prosonix having most recently been an entrepreneur. In that capacity, he provided pharmaceutical advisory services in clinical safety for Pfizer Inc; in clinical development for RespiVert Ltd and since December 2010, in clinical pharmacology for GlaxoSmithKline Plc. He is a fellow and senior specialist adviser at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, Royal Colleges of Physicians in the UK.
Prosonix announced the appointment on 3 February 2012.
