Jürgen Beck, formerly of Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, has joined the cell therapy company Promethera Biosciences SA/NV as vice president for clinical and medical affairs. Promethera has a clinical stage product for the treatment of urea cycle disorders. Dr Beck is a medical doctor with experience in clinical neurology and psychiatry. His industry experience includes positions at Synthélabo (now Sanofi), Epigenomics and InterMune (now Roche).
Separately, Promethera has appointed Patrick Stragier as vice president of operations. Mr Stragier is a biochemist with industry experience. Since 2009 he has been working as a consultant in cell therapy.
Promethera announced the appointments on 1 December 2015.
