Procarta Biosystems Ltd, a privately held British company formed in 2007 to make use of transcription factor decoys to overcome resistance to antibiotic drugs, has appointed John Hodgson to its board of directors.
He is head of the infectious disease group at Hoechst Marion Roussel and before that he was a director of microbiology at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals in the United States.
