The Swiss biopharmaceutical company, PregLem SA, has appointed Sven Zimmermann as its new chief financial officer, effective 1 June 2008. Eric Rolin, a co-founder of PregLem who has been CFO, will continue to be active in the company and participate in its development.
Dr Zimmermann, a German national, has been with UBS AG since 2001, most recently as a European biotech analyst. He obtained a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Zurich and spent several years as a researcher in the fields of oncology, diabetes and virology.
PregLem is a speciality biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialisation of compounds to treat major benign gynecological conditions, as well as infertility.
