Pierre Demolis, director of the oncology and haematology division at the French Medicines Agency, ANSM, has been elected vice chair of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) at the European Medicines Agency. A cardiologist by training, Dr Demolis will serve for a period of three years. He has been a member of the CHMP since 2007.
The EMA announced the appointment on 25 October 2013.
