Dezima Pharma BV of the Netherlands has appointed Philip Barter, an expert in dyslipidemia, to its scientific advisory board. Dr Barter is a conjoint professor at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Simultaneously, the company has also appointed Bryan Brewer to the science board. Dr Brewer is a senior research consultant of lipoprotein and atherosclerosis research at the Medstar Research Institute in Washington DC, US. Dezima was founded in 2012 to develop products for dyslipidemic patients with cardiovascular disease.
Dezima Pharma announced the appointments on 22 January 2013.
