The UK gene therapy company Orchard Therapeutics Ltd has recruited Frank Thomas to the newly created position of chief financial officer and chief business officer to help oversee its global expansion. Orchard is developing gene therapies for rare diseases.
Mr Thomas was recently chief operating officer of AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc and before that, COO and CFO for Molecular Biometrics Inc. During his career, he has managed several initial public share offerings.
Mr Thomas received a bachelor of business administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, US.
Orchard Therapeutics announced the appointment on 17 January 2018.
