NewAmsterdam Pharma Company NV of the Netherlands has appointed William BJ Jones as chief commercial officer to prepare for the commercialisation of its candidate therapies for metabolic diseases. Mr Jones joins from Biohaven Pharmaceuticals of the US which is now part of Pfizer Inc following an acquisition in 2022. Previous to this, he held sales positions at Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, AstraZeneca Plc and Bristol Myers Squibb Co. Mr Jones is a graduate of the United States Airforce Academy and holds a master of business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
