Oxford Science Enterprises Plc, which manages intellectual property for Oxford University spin-outs, has added four people to its senior leadership team. Three of the appointees, Katya Smirnyagina, Alexis Zervoglos and Ceri Morgan, joined Oxford Science in 2021, while the fourth, Sarah Shackelton, was recruited from Abingworth LLP in January.
Dr Smirnyagina has been named senior partner for life sciences and Mr Zervoglos, senior partner for technology. Ms Morgan is head of Oxford Science’s late-stage portfolio and Ms Shackelton is the chief talent officer.
Since 2015, Oxford Science has held an automatic stake in all Oxford University science spin-outs. More than 100 businesses have been founded by over 200 academics since that time.
Oxford Science Enterprises announced the appointments on 25 January 2022.
