Teresa Buracchio has been appointed Deputy Director of the Office of Neuroscience at the US Food and Drug Administration, taking over from Billy Dunn who is retiring. Dr Buracchio has been acting Deputy Director since November 2022. She joined the FDA in 2013 as a medical reviewer in the Division of Gastroenterology and Inborn Error Products, moving to the Division of Neurology Products in 2014. She received her MD degree from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, US.
The FDA announced the appointment on 27 February 2023.
