Xencor Inc has appointed Bart Cornelissen as chief financial officer to support its clinical-stage pipeline of engineered antibodies for the treatment of cancer and other serious diseases. Mr Cornelissen has more than 20 years of experience in financial planning and business development in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Prior to joining Xencor he was vice president, corporate finance at Seagen Inc which was acquired by Pfizer Inc in 2023 and where he built a finance organisation to support revenue growth and dealmaking. He also held senior finance positions at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Mr Cornelissen holds an MSc in business administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, the Netherlands, and two executive education qualifications from Harvard Business School, US.
