Morten Jurs has been appointed chief executive officer of Pronova BioPharma ASA, effective 1 July 2009, succeeding Per-Oluf Olsen. Mr Jurs has been Pronova’s chief financial officer since 2006. He was previously CFO of Kitron ASA, an electronic manufacturing services company, and has also been CEO of the Industrial Communication Group ASA. He holds a degree of master of business administration from the University of Wyoming in the US and has completed executive management courses at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
Based in Lysaker, Norway, Pronova develops marine-based omega-3 derived pharmaceutical products.
