Metrion Biosciences Ltd has appointed Lee Patterson to lead the contract research organisation (CRO) as chief executive following the departure of Andrew Southan. Mr Patterson joins from Charnwood Discovery where he was also CEO and oversaw the company’s merger with Concept Life Sciences to create a larger UK group with capacity to serve international customers including those in the US. According to Concept, this was in response to the proposed US Biosecure Act which, if enacted, could limit US company access to CROs in China. Mr Patterson holds a BSc in biomedical science and a master in business administration from Northumbria University, UK.
Metrion announced the appointment on 25 November 2024.
