Kai Pinkernell has joined the executive management board of Medigene AG as chief development officer, in addition to his role as chief medical officer. This coincides with the start of the company’s first clinical trial of an immunotherapy for cancer. Dr Pinkernell has been with Medigene as CMO since February 2016. He previously held management positions at Miltenyi Biotech GmbH in Germany and at Cytori Therapeutics Inc in the US.
Medigene announced the appointment on 11 April 2018.
