Caprotec Bioanalytics GmbH of Berlin, Germany has announced the appointment of Jonathan Turner as managing director and chief executive officer. He replaces the company’s founder, Hubert Koester, who will assume responsibility for scientific strategy and technology development.
Dr Turner was previously senior vice president at XL Techgroup Inc and before that held senior management positions at Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, AstraZeneca Plc and Schering AG. He earned his doctoral degree in neuropharmacology from the University of St Andrews and has lectured in psychiatry at the University of Newcastle in the UK.
Caprotec Bioanalytics is commercialising technology for identifying proteins that interact with drugs or other small molecules directly from complex biological samples.
Caprotec Bioanalytics announced the appointment on 18 October 2012.
