The French contract research organisation NovAliX SAS has appointed Jerome Guillemont as its new head of drug discovery. Dr Guillemont has spent more than 30 years in drug development over a wide range of therapeutic areas, including antibacterials, gastroenterology and virology. He will be in charge of leading new research projects with the drug discovery team at NovAliX. Dr Guillemont has a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Rouen in France. He will be joined at NovAliX by Olivier Querolle and Laurence Mevellec, who have been appointed directors of medicinal chemistry.
