Vasopharm GmbH has appointed Irina Antonijevic to the newly-created position of chief medical officer to oversee the clinical development of its late-stage product for traumatic brain injury. She joins vasopharm from Sanofi Genzyme where she oversaw multiple clinical programmes in neurology, multiple sclerosis and ophthalmology, including gene therapy.
Dr Antonijevic graduated in medicine from the Technical University in Munich, Germany and holds a PhD in neurophysiology from the University of Edinburgh in the UK.
Vasopharm announced the appointment on 8 November 2016.
