Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB has appointed Hege Hellstrom, an industry veteran, to head up commercial operations for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, as part of a drive to strengthen its commercial leadership. Mr Hellstrom previously held senior positions at Baxter International and Genzyme (now Sanofi SA).
Simultaneously, the company has appointed Rupert Haynes, formerly of UCB SA, to be head of global commercial operations with responsibility for the company’s inflammation business.
Sobi announced the appointments on 2 July 2013.
