Hanspeter Spek, formerly president of global operations at Sanofi SA, has joined Cardio3 BioSciences as a non-executive director. In this role, he will help guide the company as it prepares to commercialise its autologous cell therapy for heart repair, C-Cure. Mr Spek is currently a senior advisor for healthcare at the private equity firm Advent International Corp. He is also chair of the board of directors of Sanofi, Germany.
Cardio3 BioSciences announced the appointment on 31 March 2014.
