Galapagos NV has appointed Oleg Nodelman, a shareholder, to its board of directors to help execute the company’s strategy for developing small molecule and cell therapy products in oncology and immunology. He has been appointed as a non-executive, non-independent director. Mr Nodelman is the founder and portfolio manager of EcoR1 Capital LLC, one of Galapagos’ largest shareholders. He holds a bachelor of science degree in foreign service with a concentration in science and technology from Georgetown University in the US. He replaces Dan Baker, a former executive at Johnson & Johnson Inc.
Galapagos announced the appointment on 7 October 2024.
