Frank Ubags has been promoted to the position of chief executive of CEVEC Pharmaceuticals GmbH, which produces human cell expression systems. He was previously chief operating officer and managing director and replaces Wolfgang Kintzel who will continue in an advisory capacity. Mr Ubags has led a number of successful financing transactions in the life science industry including the 1999 initial public offering of Rhein Biotech GmbH, a vaccine company that is now part of Dynavax Technologies Corp of the US. CEVEC’s technology enables the industrial scale production of viral vectors for gene therapies.
CEVEC Pharmaceuticals announced the appointment on 17 April 2015.
