Faron Pharmaceuticals Ltd has appointed Yrjö Wichmann as chief financial officer. He has been Faron’s interim CFO since April and prior to that senior vice president, financing & IR from 2019 to April 2024. Faron is undertaking a financial turnaround and is continuing to advance bexmarilimab, its wholly owned immunotherapy for both haematological and solid tumours, through clinical development. Mr Wichmann has 20 years’ experience in financing and investment banking and held senior positions at life sciences and biotechnology companies. He is a board member at Nordic Science Investment Oy investment fund. Mr Wichmann holds a Master's in economics from Helsinki University, Finland.
