Sanofi SA has appointed David Loew, a senior executive at Roche, to head up commercial operations in Europe, effective 1 July 2013. In his new role Mr Loew will be responsible for defining the commercial strategy for the region and chair a European Strategic Committee. He will report to Peter Guenter, head of global commercial operations. Mr Loew joins Sanofi from Roche Pharmaceuticals where he is regional head of eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was previously head of global product strategy for the Swiss multinational. Mr Loew has a degree in finance and marketing and an MBA from the University of St Gallen in Switzerland.
Sanofi announced the appointment on 23 May 2013.
