Darlene Deptula-Hicks, the acting chief financial officer of Pieris Pharmaceuticals Inc, has been confirmed as CFO concurrent with the relocation of the company’s headquarters to Boston, Massachusetts, US from Freising, Germany. Ms Deptula-Hicks has held senior management positions at a number of medical device companies including the CFO role at Microline Surgical Inc. She received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and her MBA from Rivier College, also in New Hampshire, US.
Pieris has a technology platform based on engineered lipocalins, which are endogenous low-molecular weight human proteins found in blood plasma and other body fluids.
Pieris announced the appointment on 2 September 2015.
