Christopher Heery, formerly director of a clinical trials group at the US National Cancer Institute (NCI), has joined Denmark-based Bavarian Nordic A/S as the company’s chief medical officer. He will be based on the US east coast. Dr Heery joined the NCI as a medical oncology fellow in 2009 and has worked in the laboratory of tumour immunology and biology to create new immunotherapies for cancer.
He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine.
