Curetis NV, the Dutch-German diagnostics company, has appointed Christopher Bernard as chief executive of its newly formed US subsidiary in San Diego, California. The new company, Curetis USA Inc, has been charged with driving development and sales of the Unyvero diagnostic platform for detecting infections of the lower respiratory tract. Curetis plans to make a regulatory submission for the product by the end of 2016.
Mr Bernard was previously chief commercial officer at Epic Sciences Inc which has liquid biopsy technology for cancer. In his new position Mr Bernard will be responsible for the US marketing of Unyvero.
His appointment was announced on 5 July 2016.
