Hookipa Pharma Inc has appointed Christine Baker as chief business officer and Roman Necina as chief technology officer to lead the next phase of the company’s strategic development. Ms Baker joins the company from EpicentRx Inc, an oncology-focused biopharma company where she was the CBO, while Dr Necina will join from Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd where he was chief strategist. Hookipa recently had an initial public offering of its shares on Nasdaq where it raised $84 million.
Hookipa announced the appointments on 25 September 2019.
