CEPI, a public-private partnership for vaccine development, has appointed Amadou Alpha Sall as executive director of manufacturing and supply chains. He will join CEPI on 1 June 2025 from Senegal’s Institut Pasteur de Dakar, where he is chief executive officer. He will be responsible for leading CEPI’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy and the use of new technologies to improve vaccine production. Dr Sall is a virologist with a PhD in public health and is director of the World Health Organization’s collaborating centre for arboviruses and viral haemorrhagic fever.
CEPI announced the appointment on 9 December 2024.
