Ruth Keir, former head of global strategic alliances at Pfizer Inc, has been appointed chief executive officer of Cambridge Cognition Ltd, a provider of computerised cognitive assessment products. Ms Keir has held senior management positions in research and business in the healthcare sector for more than two decades, with a particular focus on licensing and the commercialisation of assets. In addition, Professor Wim Riedel, head of experimental psychopharmacology at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, has been appointed vice president for science. Prof Riedel previously headed a research group in cognition biomarkers and experimental medicine at the Roche Group.
Cambridge Cognition announced the appointment on 20 January 2012.
