Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) has announced the nomination of Bo Jesper Hansen as chairman of the board of directors to replace Håkan Björklund, who is stepping down from the position. Dr Hansen is a co-founder of Sobi and is currently deputy board chairman. Shareholders will vote on the nomination on 9 May 2023.
Dr Hansen has held directorships at multiple European companies including Newron Pharmaceuticals SpA and Karolinska Development, the Swedish venture capital firm. He is currently a venture partner at Wellington Partners in Germany. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Sobi announced the nomination on 19 November 2022.
