The UK BioIndustry Association elected Allan Marchington to its board of directors at its AGM on 25 September 2008. At the same meeting Clive Dix was confirmed as chairman and Glyn Edwards was reappointed to the board.
Dr Marchington has been a partner at Apposite Capital, which invests in healthcare services and life sciences, since its creation in 2006. He has previously worked at Abingworth Management, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge Combinatorial and Pfizer.
Dr Dix is also non-executive chairman of Modern Biosciences Plc. He has over 20 years’ experience in life science research, including more than 15 years serving in senior pharmaceutical industry positions. Mr Edwards has been chief executive officer of Antisoma plc since March 1998.
