AstraZeneca has appointed Katja Toon as a communications director with the brief to establish the Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical company as the partner of choice for companies and universities.
In particular, she is to provide communications support for the strategic partnering and business development group (SPBD) as well as working with corporate communications and R&D communications executives.
Ms Toon was a partner of College Hill until she joined M:Communications in January 2011.
Shaun Grady, who leads the SPBD group said: “We firmly believe that high quality communications with existing and potential partners will play an important role in differentiating AstraZeneca and ensuring that we deliver on our externalisation objectives and achieve our goal of becoming the partner of choice.”
