Aelis Farma SAS, a 2014 spin-out of the French research institute INSERM, has appointed Anders Gersel Pedersen as chairman of its board of directors. Dr Pedersen is a former executive vice president for research and development at H. Lundbeck A/S and before that, held senior management positions in clinical research at Eli Lilly and Co. His area of expertise is in the development of new drugs for brain diseases
Aelis Farma has drugs in development for disorders associated with cannabis use and for cognitive deficits exhibited in Down syndrome and aging. He received his medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
Aelis Farm announced the appointment on 25 November 2020.
