Germany-based Affimed NV has established a scientific advisory board to help guide it on its innate cell engager programmes. The members of the board include Stephen Ansell, Todd Fehniger, Ulrike Köhl and Sandro Matosevic. Dr Ansell is professor of medicine in the division of haematology at the Mayor Clinic in the US and has extensive experience in B cell malignancies including both Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Dr Fehniger is professor of medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, US, and an expert in natural killer cell immunotherapy, stem cell transplantation and lymphomas. Dr Köhl is professor of immuno-oncology at the University of Leipzig, director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology, Leipzig, as well as director of the Institute of Cellular Therapeutics at Hannover Medical School in Germany. Dr Matosevic is assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University, US, with expertise in the development and use of natural killer cells in cancer treatment.

Affimed announced the appointments on 30 June 2022.
