Addex Therapeutics Ltd has recruited Jean-Philippe Rocher to be co-head of drug discovery and work with its in-house discovery executive Robert Lütjens. Together they will oversee the development of the company’s funded research programmes involving allosteric modulator compounds to treat central nervous system disorders (CNS). The two scientists built Addex’s drug discovery platform following the company’s launch in 2002.
Dr Rocher returns to Addex from his position as CNS programme director at Laboratoires Pierre Fabre. He holds a PhD in medicinal chemistry and has worked at Devgen NV in Belgium and at GlaxoSmithKline KK in Japan.
Addex announced the appointment on 7 February 2018.
